STRONGER PELVIC MUSCLE = BETTER SEX AND BETTER HEALTH
INFORMATION CAMPAIGN FOR WOMEN AND MEN, AND THEIR HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
LoveLife Plus works to raise awareness of the importance of pelvic
muscle strength.
We have developed information
on this important topic on this website and in our printed information sheets
We
work with health professionals - doctors, midwives, physiotherapists and community
health staff - to spread the message that pelvic muscle strength can be maintained
and improved throughout life, leading to better sex and better health. Through
contact with self-help groups, we provide information tailored for people with
particular concerns.
We launched our information booklet - Saving the Undercarriage - by Queensland sexuality and health author, June Morris. See below for further information on this book.
Watch out for our media
articles and stay alert for our radio interviews! Revisit this website often,

specific information on building strong pelvic floor muscles.
SAVING THE UNDERCARRIAGE: The way to a healthy pelvic floor and all the parts therein
This booklet written by JUNE MORRIS is a health resource for post-menopausal women. After the menopause, most women have many years of living and loving still to come and good health is essential if these years are to be happy and productive. However, with advancing age, the reality for many women is that health problems do happen.
The focus of the booklet is the pelvic floor. It contains information on keeping the muscular structure healthy, together with all the sexual, urinary and rectal parts. The aim is to help women understand the need to start a prevention program early - if possible before difficulties arise. Therefore health maintenance strategies for the whole body are provided, as well as descriptions of the problems that can occur and how they can be helped.
This is a booklet that could benefit women of all ages - as prevention for the younger woman and as self-help information for women with pelvic floor problems.
About the author
June Morris BA, RN is a former Education Director of Family Planning Queensland and author of "Sex Talk for Parents of Teenagers", "Sex Talk for Parents of Young Children" and "Sexfacts". An older woman herself, June was concerned about the lack of health information available for post-menopausal women, and especially for those in the sixty plus age groups. This booklet is the result of her research.
